The Chair of the Committee on Ukraine’s integration into the EU Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze, together with other members of the parliament, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany, Annalena Berbok.

Ukrainian members of the parliament thanked Ms. Burbok for her clear position and determination in opposing Russian aggression. ‘Of course, the main thing that was emphasized during the meeting is weapons, which we need more and faster, especially during the counterattack. The Armed Forces of Ukraine demonstrate unprecedented courage and sacrifice, but this alone will not defeat the Russian invaders, who are armed to the teeth’, the Chair of the Committee said.

In addition, according to her, the parties discussed humanitarian and financial support for Ukraine, bringing Russia to justice, as well as the need to preserve the unity of the EU while resisting Moscow's energy blackmail.

‘53% of Germans support sanctions against the Russian Federation, even if they have to pay for it out of their own pockets. There were more of them in the spring. Russian propaganda succeeds with the approach of winter, and we have to counteract it, explaining to the citizens of the EU countries that the price we pay is much higher. This is not only our war, but also a war for our common values and peace in all of Europe’, Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze said.
