The Chair of the Committee on Ukraine’s Integration into the EU, Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze, met with the European Commissioner for Trade Valdis Dombrovskis, Commissioner for Defence and Space Andrius Kubilius, and Commissioner for Home Affairs and Migration Magnus Brunner on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference. During the meetings, European security and further joint actions regarding the future and current challenges of Ukraine’s European integration were addressed. “It was also mentioned that we should not lose the common momentum on the part of the European Commission and Ukraine to ensure that Ukraine continues real democratic transformations, which will shape its future, including within the European Union,” said Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze. According to her, the need to develop an additional institutional mechanism for financial support for Ukraine in the next EU budget cycle was also discussed. However, the issue of financial support for Ukraine in 2026-2027 remains the most pressing.

According to the Chair of the Committee, the Munich Security Conference is an important platform for communication with colleagues from all over the world and an opportunity to convey Ukraine's position. It is attended by MPs of European national parliaments, MEPs, ministers, journalists and representatives of civil society from Europe, the USA and other regions.
"This was a very lively exchange of views, primarily on a common vision of the future and the need to guarantee the clear security, value, and legal position of Ukraine and Europe and their participation in shaping their future. Europe is starting to wake up and ask itself painful, but important and long-overdue questions about its security and place in the world," said Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze.
